DANVILLE — A man was stabbed at about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Lynch Street.

Danville Police Sgt. J.W. McLaughlin said a verbal altercation that took place outside led to a shouting match, which ended with the suspect stabbing the victim “multiple times.”

The victim was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, McLaughlin said.

Police arrested 20-year-old Tommy Davis Jr., of Danville, and charged him with malicious wounding after the incident.
