LifeWay Christian Store to kick off grand opening

LifeWay Christian Store at Coleman MarketPlace will kick off its grand opening this weekend. The celebration begins Saturday and runs through Nov. 1.

VeggieTales’ Bob & Larry and Max Lucado’s Hermie the Caterpillar will make special appearances, according to a news release from LifeWay.

LifeWay Christian Store is 5,200 square feet and features a mix of Christian music, gifts, Bibles, books, children’s products and church supplies. Aaron Wilson will serve as manager for the new store.

“We are excited about the opportunity to be a part of Danville and the surrounding communities,” said Mark Scott, president of LifeWay Christian Stores. “We look forward to serving people and churches by providing them with biblical solutions for life.”

The Danville store is one of nine LifeWay stores in Virginia and one of 151 stores the chain operates in 25 states.

VeggieTales characters Bob & Larry will appear at the store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday. Max Lucado’s Hermie the Caterpillar will be at the store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 18.
