A grand jury has indicted 20-year-old Danville resident Lorenza Jones for first-degree murder and robbery in connection with the stabbing death of 21-year-old Precious Saunders.
Saunders was found dead Tuesday morning inside an apartment on Audubon Drive.

that is awful. obviously he needed some kind of help or to be off the streets, if u will torchure a small innocent animal the way he did wat do u think he will do to a human being? now its too late. that girl lost her life, and her child lost his mother and that is a crying shame. i hope he DOES NOT get the death penatly, that will be the easy way out, he deserves life in prison, solitary confinement even. he dont deserve to see the outside world anymore as he took that priveledge away from Precious.

but u know ..i dont know..i dont have the answers…and i do feel better..i keep thinkn like what could i have done to prevented this whole thing..what extra mile could i have went to make sure she dont go to apt..or maybe calld him to see if he needed to talk to get anything off his chest..i duno…

To behonest with you LAdy757…when i was wit him i didnt see no signs of abuse etc..and she was my friend..and i never would have thought it would have turn out this way ..yea we told both of them to get away..but i guess when u love sumone, its hard to get away! and YES i did kno them on a personal level….but u can only do so much to tell a person to leave it alone..

I have just one question for Stop_the_rumors. If you knew both of them of such a PERSONAL level then why didn’t you tell Precious to get as far away from him as possible. Didn’t you know what was going on in the relationship since you knew them on a PERSONAL level?

I am very sorry for the saunders Family for what they are going through with the lose of the daughter and a mother. However, you are not thinking about his family as well. They are all wonderful people even Lorenza was a good person, he had a lot of problems going on with him not only the death of both of his parents a year ago but many diffrent things. As for the Lorenza’s family you all are in my prayers. They are also suffering of a lose of a family member as well. He might not be gone but he is no with them.

First and foremost…we need to STOP SPECULATING on what happened, nobody knows but them two and god! I knew both of them on a personal level…and nobody really knows what may have been his boiling point, he had to deal with alot of things in such a short amount of time and prob. never went to have any counseling! and the DEATH PENALTY..come on ppl….what is that gonna solve? NOTHN!! not gonna bring anbody back…since he did the crime he needs to do the time, and everyday think about what he has done….

why is wearing a bullet proof vest? i heard that he was involved in a shooting that him and precious were the only witnesses to. the Danville Police really need to step their game up and do more to assist people that are in danger. the young man was going through a lot he lost both parents at one time and now people are saying that he took the life of his own mother and father. the only thing that we can do is wait to see what happens when he goes to court.
THE SAUNDERS FAMILY WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS EVEN THOUGH I DIDN’T KNOW PRECIOUS. IT’S SAD THAT HER 2 YEAR OLD CHILD HAS TO BE WITHOUT A MOTHER.

What gets me is she had been begging for help from the police repeatedly but yet Danville’s finest refused to do anything. On top of that this guy is the same sick SOB who had the ears of his dog cut off with a box cutter and he was out on bond for that when this happened. Obviously somebody BLEW IT at the PD and DAs office yet again in Danville. (On a side note I happen to know the aunt of the deceased as she is in my Nursing class with my wife and I so we were privy to a little more info). All the family can do now is hope for justice and a one way trip to Jarrett for this obviously evil person only thing fitting for him is a seat on deathrow

To the Saunders family,
I pray that the peace of God be with you during this time. I know the pain that you are going through, because over a year ago his mother cowardly took the life of my brother. Just know that your family are in my prayers!
