U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode was named a champion of national security Wednesday by the Center for Security Policy.
The organization issued its seventh National Security Scorecard, which examines votes cast during the 110th Congress on security interests of the United States.
Goode, R-5th, was one of 158 members of the House of Representatives to earn the distinction of “Champions of National Security.”
The center selected 24 votes in the House of Representatives on key foreign, defense and intelligence matters with direct relevance to America’s safety, sovereignty and freedoms.
