Former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe will be in Danville today to campaign for Barack Obama and talk about the candidate’s health care plan. The former chairman of Hillary Clinton’s campaign will talk about Senator Obama’s plan to provide affordable health care to every American and bring down costs for the typical family by up to $2,500.
Obama’s plan stands in sharp contrast to Senator John McCain’s plan, which would create a tax on Americans’ health care benefits.
McAuliff will be at the Community Market at the Crossing at 629 Craghead St. at 2:15 p.m. He will also be in South Boston at the Prizery at 700 Bruce St. at 11:45 a.m. and in Martinsville at the Henry County Administration Building at 3300 Kings Mountain Rd. at 6:30 p.m.
