The FBI has released new information in the murders of Jennifer, Michael and Mary Short.

According to a release posted on the FBI’s Web site, federal investigators now say a man was seen sitting in a car along U.S. 220 near the Shorts’ home in Henry County, in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, 2002. That’s the day the murders were discovered.

Also, federal investigators now say Michael Short was trying to get a job as a mobile home mover in the coastal region of South Carolina.

Investigators say they are seeking information from anyone who saw the man in the car, or anyone who had contact with Michael Short about moving to South Carolina.

Call the FBI tipline at 1-800-225-5324.

This release comes after the FBI said back on Septe. 26, it had identified a vehicle that may be connected to the murders.  The FBI did not release any details about the vehicle, saying it might hurt the investigation.
