Danville police investigating robbery at convenience store

DANVILLE — Danville police are investigating a robbery that took place Saturday night at a convenience store.
The Fas Mart, located at 1411 South Boston Road, was robbed at gunpoint at about 11:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Danville Police Department.
A clerk reported two male suspects entered the store brandishing handguns.  They took a small amount of cash from the register and numerous Virginia Lottery scratch tickets.  The clerk was alone in the store at the time of the incident and was uninjured. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
