DANVILLE — A Danville man was arrested Wednesday after a break-in at a home in Providence, N.C., according to a news release from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.
James Stewart Pugh, II, of Danville, is charged with first-degree burglary and criminal damage to property.
Pugh was arrested after an incident early Wednesday morning on Easy Street in Providence. He was found with the help of dogs from the North Carolina Department of Correction.
Deputies discovered that Pugh was wanted from Danville for a probation violation from a prior burglary, the release states.
A fugitive warrant against Pugh for the Virginia probation violation was obtained by Caswell County deputies, authorities said.
Pugh is under a $50,000 secured bond in the Caswell County Detention Center. He is set to be in court June 25.
