UPDATE: 3:50 p.m., Monday, 11/10:
GRETNA - A Gretna man has been charged with shooting another man in the arm, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
Kewoun Jermaine Miller, 26, of 11869 Rockford School Road, has been charged with malicious wounding and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
At 11:50 a.m., someone called the E-911 Communications Center and said a man had been shot at the suspect’s address, Lt. Col. Ronnie Simpson said.
When deputies and investigators arrived, they found Lynwood Haley Jr. suffering from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to his right bicep, Sheriff Mike Taylor said in the news release.
The victim was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for what has been determined to be non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff said.
Miller’s first court appearance is set for Wednesday.

GRETNA - The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place at 11869 Rockford School Road just before noon Monday.
The male victim was shot in the arm, Lt. Col. Ronnie Simpson said. Details about his condition were unavailable Monday afternoon.
Simpson said the victim called at 11:50 a.m. and said another man shot him in the arm. Police were interviewing the potential suspect and witnesses Monday afternoon, Simpson said.
No arrests have been made.
