Inmate’s criminal history dates back to 2006
Cody Christopher Nifong, the man shot and killed by a Pittsylvania County deputy Tuesday, was a convicted sex offender with a history of other crimes as well. But a relative of Nifong said family tragedies that occurred when he was a teenager led to his downfall.
