July 4th at The Crossing
This family event will feature music, children’s activities, amusement rides and fireworks. Music starting at 7 p.m. includes the Southside Superstar finals, followed by the Hunt Family Fiddlers. Fireworks will start after dark. Free admission; food vendors available.

Fourth of July Bottle Rocket Day
Customize your own rocket using a soda bottle, paper nose cones and ribbons. Launches begin at 11 a.m. and occur at the top of every hour until 5 p.m. Explore the Butterfly Station and Garden to see which plants the butterflies and caterpillars favor. Fourth of July Bottle Rocket Day is included with Science Center admission. Admission is $5-$6.
The Danville Science Center also will be open from 5:30 to 7 p.m. as part of the Fourth of July Celebration. Admission will be free.

Red, White and Blue Celebration
Military re-enactments, visits with George and Martha Washington, a Liberty Bell replica, farm demonstrations and a concert will help celebrate George Washington’s contributions to America’s freedom.
